Otro accidente deja dos heridos graves en el Carnaval de Río (fotos)

Once personas resultaron heridas el martes, dos de ellas de gravedad, en los desfiles de carnaval de Rio de Janeiro, al desplomarse la parte superior de una carroza alegórica bajo el peso de los bailarines.

El accidente se produjo hacia las 03H00 de la madrugada (06H00 GMT), al día siguiente de otro que dejó veinte heridos, en la primera noche de los desfiles en el Sambódromo, epicentro de los festejos que cada año electrizan a Brasil.





El percance del martes se produjo cuando la carroza de la escuela de samba Unidos da Tijuca se disponía a ingresar en la pista de 700 metros de largo.

El servicio de prensa del municipio de Rio indicó a la AFP que entre los heridos había dos graves, “uno con traumatismo craniano y otro (con heridas) en el abdomen”.

“Yo estaba en la plataforma de la carroza, del lado izquierdo, y de pronto vi que el otro lado se hundía”, contó llorando a la AFP una bailarina del grupo, Raissa Pihneiro.

“La gente cayó dentro de la carroza y algunos quedaron atrapados entre hierros retorcidos”, agregó.

Las ambulancias llegaron al lugar para rescatar a los heridos, en medio de una gran confusión.

La carroza de Unidos da Tijuca realizó pese a todo el recorrido de la pasarela, bajo los aplausos del público, con bomberos en su techo y algunos bailarines llorando a cada lado.

El accidente de la víspera se produjo cuando una carroza golpeó contra una de las tribunas durante las maniobras para entrar en la pista. Veinte personas resultaron heridas, entre ellas varios periodistas.

Tres mujeres se encuentran aún hospitalizadas, una de ellas bajo respiración artificial, indicaron las autoridades médicas, reseñó AFP.
