Israelis stop walking and stand in silence in the center of Jerusalem on April 8, 2013, as sirens sounded across Israel for two minutes in memory of Holocaust victims. Israel began marking Holocaust Martyrs and Heroes Remembrance Day at sundown on April 7 with a ceremony at the Yad Vashem memorial in Jerusalem which commemorates the six million Jews killed by the Nazi regime during World War II.
