South African Paralympic athlete Oscar Pistorius sits in the dock at the High Court in Pretoria on June 30, 2014 after spending 30 days under psychiatric observation to determine if he should be held criminally responsible for the killing of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. Pistorius resumed on June 30 with experts saying they had found no sign of mental illness after a month of psychiatric tests. “Mr Pistorius did not suffer from a mental illness or defect that would have rendered him criminally not responsible for the offence charged,” said state prosecutor Gerrie Nel.
