A super moon is seen above a cross on a church in Jerusalem September 9, 2014. A full “supermoon” shone over Jerusalem on Tuesday night, illuminating the city’s holy sites. It was the third super moon in a row this summer, with the other two occurring early in July and August. A “super moon” occurs when the moon is full and at the point of its orbit that brings it closest to the Earth. The astronomical event occurs when the moon is closest to the Earth in its orbit, making it appear much larger and brighter than usual. REUTERS/Ammar Awad (JERUSALEM – Tags: ENVIRONMENT RELIGION)
