Two students were shot dead Thursday in the Chilean port city of Valparaiso when protests against President Michelle Bachelet’s education reform efforts turned violent, police said. Witnesses said the victims, aged 18 and 24, were shot by a 22-year-old man who opened fire as protesters tried to graffiti his house and plaster it with posters.
