París se va a la playa a orillas del Sena con seguridad reforzada (fotos)

“Esta playa es maravillosa” dice Ana Scoralick, turista de Minas Gerais acostada en la arena de bikini. No está en una playa brasileña sino en París a orillas del Sena y dice no temer a los atentados.

La capital francesa inauguró este miércoles bajo estrictas medidas de seguridad su programa estival “París Plages” sobre la margen derecha del Sena y en el estanque de la Villette, en el norte de la capital.





Una 3.500 toneladas de arena, 50 palmeras, 900 reposeras y 450 sombrillas fueron desplegadas para la ocasión.

La cantidad de turistas que llegan a París por avión mermó un 11% desde enero pasado, y los operadores no midieron aún el impacto del atentado que la semana pasada sembró la muerte en el Paseo de los Ingleses de Niza, emblema turístico de la Costa Azul.

En ese contexto, mantener el programa de actividades de “París Plages” resultaba un desafío.

El gobierno decidió no ceder al clima de inquietud, aunque la prefectura de policía anunció el miércoles la anulación de varias actividades estivales en París, como la peatonalización de la avenida de los Campos Elíseos o la instalación de un cine al aire libre. Pero decidió mantener la playa urbana, donde los visitantes advirtieron las medidas de seguridad adicionales.

“Me siento completamente segura, más que el año pasado”, comenta a la AFP Ana Scoralick. La brasileña estuvo en París en 2015 y ahora advierte que hay más policías en las calles. En agosto, los visitantes podrán disfrutar de la transmisión de los Juegos Olímpicos de Río en pantalla gigante, aunque ella regresará a Brasil para verlos en vivo.

En una rueda de prensa improvisada en el lugar, la alcaldesa de París Anne Hidalgo explicó que “la seguridad fue reforzada, especialmente poniendo barreras en las rampas” de acceso a los muelles del Sena, que en el margen derecho permanecerán cerrados al tránsito de vehículos. También se aumentó la vigilancia en la circulación de barcos por el río, “como si fuese la de una gran avenida”.

– Reapropiarse de la ciudad –

Para esta 15a edición de París Playa –y tal vez una de las últimas si, tal como lo planea la municipalidad se peatonaliza definitivamente la vía rápida que corre por la margen derecha del Sena– se montaron eventos especiales.

El museo del Louvre desplazó algunas de sus obras de arte, vinculadas al dios Neptuno. El zoo de París participa con animaciones sonoras y el Museo de Arte moderno con una muestra dedicada a la obra del paisajista Albert Marquet (1875-1947), “pintor del tiempo suspendido”: París explícitamente quiere apostar a la riqueza de su cultura como respuesta a la violencia y la intolerancia. “Es muy importante que todas las manifestaciones culturales tengan lugar”, dijo Bruno Julliard, adjunto de Hidalgo. “Lo peor sería detener todo, sería una especie de capitulación, estaríamos cediendo a la presión de los terroristas”.

Las ciudades tunecinas de Túnez y Susa –ambas víctimas de atentados el verano pasado– fueron invitadas a las festividades y sus respectivos alcaldes asistieron a la inauguración junto a Anne Hidalgo.

“Queremos ayudar a que cada cual viva mejor en este mundo”, dijo la alcaldesa socialista a la prensa. “Queremos que los parisinos que no se van de vacaciones puedan reconquistar su ciudad en este paseo, con todas las actividades que les proponemos, o sencillamente sentados leyendo o disfrutando de París”.

Una opción que sedujo a Odile, una francesa que se tomará sus vacaciones más tarde y que mientras tanto también vino desde el primer día a la playa urbana, que como todos los años excluye la posibilidad de bañarse en el río. “De momento, junto a mi pequeña disfrutamos de la playa a dos minutos de casa”, dijo la parisina, reseñó AFP.
