El presidente de Estados Unidos, Donald Trump  asistió a un servicio religioso  en la Catedral Nacional de Washington DC.





Trump entró en la catedral de la mano de su esposa, Melania, y tomó su lugar en el primer banco junto al vicepresidente Mike Pence. Trump sonrió y asintió con la cabeza a aquellos que pasaron por él durante la procesión.

La catedral ha recibido durante años un servicio de oración para el nuevo presidente. Pero mantener la tradición ha suscitado un debate este año entre los episcopales opuestos a las políticas de Trump.

El obispo Mariann Budde, de la Diócesis Episcopal de Washington, escribió en un blog que compartió “un sentimiento de indignación por algunas palabras y acciones del presidente electo”, pero también sentía la obligación de dar la bienvenida a todas las personas, reseñó el portal noticieros.televisa.com.
