Policía británica confirma que tercer atacante de Londres es Youssef Zaghba

La policía británica identificó este martes al italiano de origen marroquí Youssef Zaghba, de 22 años, como el tercer autor del atentado de Londres, tal y como había avanzado la prensa italiana.

De este modo, trasciende la identidad del último autor del atentado que dejó siete muertos, después de que la policía difundiera el lunes las de Khuram Shazad Butt, un británico de 27 años nacido en Pakistán, y Rachid Redouane, un marroquí de 30.





Los tres murieron en el atentado, pero antes mataron a siete personas e hirieron a decenas, atropellando primero a los transeúntes del London Bridge y acuchillando luego a clientes y trabajadores de los bares y restaurantes de Borough Market.

El comunicado policial aclara que Zaghba no había estado nunca bajo el radar “ni de la policía ni del Mi5”, los servicios de inteligencia, en un momento en que arrecian las críticas por no haber detenido nunca a Khuram Butt, que había hecho gala de sus opiniones en el documental televisivo “Los yihadistas de la puerta de al lado”.

La policía anunció además la detención este martes de un hombre en el barrio de Barking, en el este de Londres, en el marco de la investigación.

Las doce personas anteriormente detenidas fueron liberadas sin cargos. AFP
