Se derrumbó el techo de la bolsa de Yakarta: Al menos 75 heridos (fotos)

Al menos 75 personas resultaron heridas el lunes al derrumbarse parte de una planta interior del edificio de la bolsa de Yakarta, un incidente que sembró el pánico en la zona de negocios, según las autoridades indonesias.

Una parte del suelo del primer piso se derrumbó y una serie de escombros cayeron a la planta baja, explicó un portavoz de la policía. Se trata de un accidente y no de una explosión, agregó.





“El número de heridos en el hundimiento de la planta de la bolsa indonesia es de 75”, declaró a la AFP un portavoz de la policía nacional, Setyo Wasisto.

El incidente no causó ningún muerto, confirmó por su parte el director de la bolsa, Tito Sulistio.

Un primer balance dio cuenta de al menos 20 heridos.

La mayoría de los heridos tiene lesiones en las extremidades, precisó otro portavoz de la policía, Argo Yuwono.

“El accidente ocurrió en la primera planta (…) Es un piso por donde pasan muchos empleados”, explicó.

Las imágenes difundidas por las televisiones mostraban a la multitud gritando y corriendo mientras los responsables intentaban evacuar la zona entre una montaña de escombros.

El accidente sucedió a primera hora de la tarde (05H00 GMT), coincidiendo con la hora de la comida.

“Hubo un gran estruendo, y la gente que estaba en el interior corrió al exterior”, contó una periodista de Metro TV, Marlia Zein, que se encontraba en el lugar en el momento del derrumbe.

Unos cien policías y miembros de los equipos de emergencia se desplegaron en la zona, en pleno centro del distrito financiero, lo que conllevó problemas de tráfico durante varias horas. Este incidente, junto a las lluvias torrenciales que caían sobre la capital indonesia, causaron gigantescos atascos en la ciudad.

Pese al caos, el portavoz de la plataforma, Rheza Andhika, dijo que las actividades bursátiles proseguían en la sesión de la tarde.

Poco después del derrumbe, hacia las 14H00 (07H00 GMT), el edifico fue reabierto y los empleados pudieron volver a sus oficinas.

La bolsa indonesia está situada en el centro de Yakarta, en un edificio que también alberga la oficina local del Banco Mundial, en su 12ª planta, según su página web.
