Dos hombres detonan bomba en un restaurante de Canadá dejando 15 heridos

Dos hombres no identificados ingresaron el jueves a un restaurante indio en la ciudad canadiense de Mississauga, en las afueras de Toronto, y detonaron una bomba, hiriendo a más de una decena de personas, dijo la policía local, que aclaró que no parecía tratarse de un acto terrorista o de odio.

La explosión ocurrió en el restaurante Bombay Bhel alrededor de las 22.30 hora local. Quince personas fueron llevadas al hospital, tres de ellas con heridas graves, dijo el Servicio Regional de Paramédicos de Peel en Twitter.





Los dos atacantes huyeron después de detonar su dispositivo explosivo improvisado, dijo la Policía Regional de Peel en un tuit. No hubo una reivindicación inmediata de responsabilidad y tampoco se conocía la motivación del ataque.

Los hombres ingresaron al restaurante y detonaron lo que parecía ser una lata o balde pintado que explotó luego de que huyeron, dijo el sargento Matt Bertram al diario New York Times.

Más tarde, la policía canadiense dijo que no parecía tratarse de un ataque terrorista o de odio y que aún estaban buscando a los dos hombres.

La policía publicó una fotografía en Twitter que muestra a dos personas con sudaderas oscuras con cremallera caminando hacia un establecimiento con una de ellas portando un objeto.

El ataque en Mississauga, la sexta ciudad más grande de Canadá, se produce un mes después de que un conductor embistiera a una multitud con una furgoneta de alquiler en Toronto, un ataque que dejó 10 muertos y 15 heridos.

Las carreteras en la zona fueron cerradas y había una importante presencial policial en Mississauga, ubicada sobre el lago Ontario a unos 32 kilómetros al oeste de Toronto. Reuters
