“Our recognition of their effort and work,” said Pizarro through his Twitter account, where he reported that about 1.5 million Venezuelan children will benefit from this program.

At the start of operations, the UN program held an event at the Antonio Dolores de Coro school, where they delivered bags of food to children under 6 years of age.

For the remainder of 2021, the program plans to provide food for some 185,000 children. By the end of the 2022-2023 school year they expect to have reached 1.5 million children, to palliate the great child malnutrition that the country suffers.
