President Guaidó and Ambassador Poblete held a conversation with the Swedish Foreign Minister about the humanitarian crisis in Venezuela

The President in Charge of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, and the diplomatic representative to Sweden, León Poblete, held a conversation with Foreign Minister Ann Linde in order to reaffirm Sweden’s support for a peaceful solution to the Venezuelan crisis.

“Venezuelans know how to confront and resist authoritarianism, we know that we are going to win,” he assured through his Twitter account.





The national president thanked the determination of Sweden and the firmness of the free world to confront autocrats such as the dictator Maduro.

“Europe and the free world face an existential threat to democracy and freedom itself when authoritarian regimes like Putin’s attack sovereign countries,” he stressed.

For his part, Ambassador Poblete reiterated his commitment to Venezuelans to continue the fight for the recovery of freedom and democracy in the country, and also thanked the Swedish Foreign Minister for her support of the democratic cause.

Chancellor Ann Linde highlighted the concern of Sweden and the free countries of Europe over the continuing deterioration of the humanitarian and human rights crisis in the country and called for negotiations to be resumed and political persecution to stop.
