The newest route

Conviasa often operates weird-looking routes. In the past, it has flown from Venezuela to Moscow, Doha, Damascus, and Belgrade, for instance. It is currently the only international operator actively flying to México City’s new Felipe Ángeles International Airport.

Now, the airline is looking to operate non-stop commercial services between Caracas and Tehran. On June 18, the State airline will begin flying every 15 days on this route, as announced by Conviasa on social media.

As reported by One Mile At A Time, Conviasa has already been flying to Tehran in the past. Nonetheless, this service had a first leg flying directly to Moscow’s Vnukovo International Airport (VKO). Now, the Venezuelan airline will fly directly to the Iranian capital city.
