Simpatizantes de la oposición se enfrentaron con palos y piedras el martes a las fuerzas de seguridad de Venezuela, luego de que contingentes antimotines bloquearon una marcha en Caracas contra el gobierno de Nicolás Maduro con gases lacrimógenos , reseña Reuters.





Los enfrentamientos ocurrieron cuando miles de opositores intentaban llegar hasta la sede de la Asamblea Nacional, en el centro de la capital, pero fueron contenidos por la policía y efectivos de la Guardia Nacional.

La crisis política en Venezuela se agudizó la semana pasada cuando el Tribunal Supremo de Justicia (TSJ) anuló funciones del Parlamento, dominado por la oposición, una decisión que fue inesperadamente criticada por el propio Maduro y, finalmente, revertida.

Con tanquetas, camiones lanza agua y gases lacrimógenos, los efectivos de seguridad trataban de impedir el avance de la marcha, mientras simpatizantes del gobierno lanzaban piedras desde edificios de viviendas sociales.

Los manifestantes, con banderas de Venezuela, tapándose la cara y con el torso descubierto, devolvían las piedras y gases.

“Con gas no van a ocultar a esos 3 millones de venezolanos que están buscando comida en la basura, con gas no van a poder evitar que los hospitales sigan en la grave crisis en que se encuentran”, dijo el diputado opositor Carlos Paparoni, visiblemente afectado por el gas pimienta.

A unos kilómetros , miles de partidarios de Maduro se congregaban para reclamar por el intento de “golpe de Estado” que, denuncian, llevan a cabo sus adversarios con el fin de deponer al sucesor del fallecido Hugo Chávez.

En otras ciudades, cientos de opositores marcharon en jornadas pacíficas. Venezuela atraviesa una grave crisis, con la inflación más alta del mundo, recesión económica y escasez de alimentos y medicinas de las que la oposición culpa a Maduro.

El lunes, la OEA llamó a Venezuela a respetar la separación e independencia de poderes y, pese a que el TSJ revirtió los fallos contra el Parlamento, la oposición y varios gobiernos latinoamericanos acusan que aún hay violaciones a los derechos humanos y detenciones de disidentes.

En la tarde del martes, en su sesión ordinaria, el Congreso iniciará el proceso para destituir a los magistrados del TSJ que firmaron las controvertidas sentencias atribuyéndose funciones legislativas. Sin embargo, el proceso no avanzaría ya que depende de otros poderes públicos que están alineados con el Gobierno.

La deuda venezolana volvía a caer el martes por la agitación política. El bono de referencia Global 2027 perdía 2 puntos, para cotizar a unos 44,426. El papel marcador de la petrolera estatal PDVSA, que vence en 2022, perdía 1,4 puntos de su valor, hasta 57,050 dólares, según datos de Thomson Reuters.
